You'll Shoot Your Eye Out Kid!

This past Sunday night we went back to Moody Gardens to have Cora's picture made with Santa. Now that I am looking back at these pictures I should have known what we were in for! Cora did NOT look happy even on the way there. I pretty much knew we were in for a cry fest, but I had to get the pic anyways just so we can look back on them later and laugh. This is her first picture with Santa. Was I that paranoid of a mom that I didn't get her picture taken last year? I guess so because we don't have one. Oh well!
It was actually pretty cold, so we had to get her all bundled up.
Hilarious!
Still mad!!
I actually think Moody Gardens is really pretty this time of year!
When we got back home I thought it was time to bust out the Christmas PJs. Cora has a couple pairs, so I thought we could start wearing them a few days before Christmas. (You're a trooper babe! What a good dad!)
Funny story, two years ago Jonathan's mom got these Christmas PJs for us and we were all wearing them on Christmas Eve. The neighbors ended up having a domestic dispute in the front yard and Dave and Jonathan were out there trying to keep from fighting the guy wearing flannels with Christmas trees and Candy canes on them! ha! It is funny now looking back on it.

Cora is 13 Months Old!

Yes, I know I'm late on this again! It gets really hard to take these pics with toddlers! I debated on weather I should keep taking her month photos, but I just couldn't find it in my heart to stop. I am thinking about how I am going to document her second year because her baby book stops at twelve months and then just has one page for two, three, four, etc. I am thinking about making digital photo books on the mac, but I'm not sure yet.
Hi mom!
Big brown eyes.=)

She kept slouching, but as soon as I sat her up she was on the go!
See ya! Daddy has taught her how to get down from chairs and the couch on her own, so she was out of there!
Cora weighs 20 pounds and is VERY long. I can't imagine how tall she is going to be. Jonathan is really tall and people always think I am tall, but I am only 5'4''. Anyways, she has four teeth on top and two more coming in. She only has one tooth on the bottom, but the other one looks like it will be coming in any day now. Whenever I tell people she is a year old they can't believe it because she is so dainty. We love you Cora Danielle we can't wait to see what the next year holds!

Our House at Christmas Time

Front door: Christmas with a coastal theme.
No fireplace, so this is where we hang our stockings.
Can you tell I love red even when it isn't Christmas?
The buffet is normally centered with the mirror, but I had to scoot it over a little to fit the tree in.
I wanted to do a rustic/beach tree in the office to match the decor.

I'm in love with this burlap bow from Ballard designs.

Okay, now back to shopping, wrapping, and baking and most importantly snuggling, praying, and thanking The Lord for sending his son!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Last year Jonathan got me some new Christmas CDs and one of them was Harry Connick Jr. It has the song "Baby It's Cold Outside" on it and it has been running through my head all day. I am so excited that it is cold enough to get Cora all bundled up! This is how she looked before we headed to church this morning. Maybe before the end of the week we'll be singing "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!"

P.S. She loves riding in her new big girl car seat! We switched it for our trip to Dallas right before Thanksgiving. She is still rear facing though. Our Dr. says to keep her this way as long as possible!

Thanksgiving

We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We are back in our home, Jonathan has a great job, and of course we have our little Turkey. Last year at this time she was only two weeks old! Time flies doesn't it?! We went back up to my grandparents house in Southlake for Thanksgiving this year. It was great getting to see family and friends. We ate, watched football, and ate some more. This year my aunt and I decided to try something different. We went BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING! I figured there was no better place to try Black Friday shopping then The BIG D, since I consider it the shopping capital of the USA! So, what did I buy? Well, you'll have to wait until Christmas to find out!
We took lots of family pics the day of Thanksgiving.
My mom and dad with Jonathan, Cora, and I.
My mom and dad wanted to try and get a picture with Cora for their Christmas card.

My grandparents with all of their kids.
The four generations picture.
And once again Cora went crazy for my aunts' Shitzu dogs. She just loves them! I think we might need to start thinking about her birthday gift for next year! jk
Cora wearing her Christmas outfit the day after Thanksgiving! I want to start celebrating ASAP!
On Saturday night my mom and grandparents watched Cora while Jonathan and I went to see Texas Tech take on the Baylor Bears. They gave us a run for our money, but luckily Tech came back and won the game!
We met up with Brandon and Lindsay before the game. We always have so much fun with them! If only our Baylor friends The Kummerfelds could have come!
The game was at the new Cowboys stadium, which is AWESOME! This is the goin' band from Raiderland performing at halftime. Thanks Dallas family for hosting us!
